If your site is covered in trees and thick vegetation, and you need an accurate terrain model, LiDAR is the way to go.
Our LiDAR unit shoots out laser pulses as the drone flies at a rate of 240,000 pulses per second. It can measure up to five returns from each pulse, capturing a whopping 1.2 million points per second. It’s a lot of data, but we handle the post-processing to make it user-friendly for everyone.
Because our LiDAR records up to five returns per pulse, we can see through tree canopies and dense foliage. Even if a pulse gets split by leaves and branches, as long as it hits the ground and comes back, we capture those ground points.
Weather doesn’t faze our LiDAR—it works fine in glare and shadows, and we can even use it at night. And it’s super accurate too, with a +/-30mm accuracy at a 100-meter flight altitude.
